Please use this site to track reading/ writing calendar, announcements, and electronic handouts from class. Please refer to the Google team calendar for homework and announcements. Remember, your weekly goal is 100 minutes of reading (15-20 mins a day) and 1 page of writing (anything of your choice).

About IRLA
Integrated Reading and Language Arts is designed to offer you the tools and techniques that you will need to become an active, critical member of today’s society. Through the year, you will grow into a critical thinker and global citizen of the world today. This course will teach you the essential life skills of reading, writing, speaking, and listening – skills that will serve you in any field you wish to pursue. Whether you may consider yourself a “reader” or not, this class is designed to teach you that everyone is a reader with capability of growth. The primary expectation of this course is that you read – you should have an independent reading book at all times, unless you are in a book club.
